NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Wild Waves Development Agreement Amendment

Notice is hereby given that the City of Federal Way City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30pm on
November 21, 2023, in the Federal Way City Council Chambers (33325 8th Avenue South, Federal Way,
WA 98003) for the following project:
Name: Wild Waves Development Agreement
Amendment
Description: Request for an amendment to the existing Wild
Waves Development Agreement (DA). Proposed
amendment would extend the term of the
agreement to 30 years; specify hours of operation
parameters in the DA only apply to Regional
Commercial Recreation Facility use; expand the
allowed hotel use on the property from five acres
to the entirety of the site; and expand the limited
accessory warehouse/distribution use to allow
warehousing/distribution as a primary use on the
entirety of the site. Neither the comprehensive
plan nor the zoning designation will be directly
affected or changed by the proposal.

Existing Environmental Documents: Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) pursuant to the State
Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) for the proposal was issued on October 6, 2023. Trip Generation
Memorandums prepared by Transpo Group (4/26/23, 7/17/23, 7/26/23)
Any person may participate in the public hearing by submitting written comments to the City Council
either by delivering written comments to the Department of Community Development before the hearing,
or by appearing at the hearing and presenting public comments in person. Pursuant to FWRC 19.85.130
only persons who at this time, participates in the public hearing on the development agreement by
submitting written comments to the city council or by participating in the public hearing or specifically
requested a copy of the city council’s decision on the development agreement and plan may appeal the city
council’s decision.
