Dear Ms. Halvorsen
The City of Federal Way Public Works Department has considered your request for modification to the right-of-
way cross sections for a portion of Road A of the proposed 20-lot subdivision as described in FWRC 19.135.070
Modifications, Deferments and Waivers. After evaluating your proposals and the existing conditions along the
proposed street, review of the Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) provisions (19.135.070) and direction
provided by City Council. The Public Works Department hereby modiJîes your request as noted below:
Approved Reduction of Road 664" for Ravine/Stream Crossing (Sta. 14+18 to 15+66)
The total cross-section shall be 24-foot paved roadway consisting of two l2-foot lanes, 0.5-foot curb and
5-foot sidewalk on both sides; additional l-foot on the north side and additional 7-foot along south side to
accommodate Jersey barrier and retaining wall (if approved). The utility strip will be allowed underneath
the sidewalk. The cross section must also show a 2O-foot wide access tract to the base of the retaining
wall. Total ROW width shall be 43-foot.
2. Reduction of Road'oA" betrryeen22d Ave SW and 21'tAve SW (Sta. 10+45 to 14+18)
The cross-section shall be 28-foot paved consisting of two l4-foot lanes (parking allowed on the south
side of the road); 4-foot planter strip on the south side of the road; O.5-foot curb and S-foot sidewalks on
both sides; 3-foot utility strip on the south side and any utilities along north side located under sidewalk;
an additional l-foot of ROW behind curb on north side and street lights provided. Total ROV/ width shall
be 47-foot.
3. Road Section from Ravine west to Cul-de-Sac (Sta. 15+66 to 21+13)
Replace submitted road cross section between Sta. 16+66 and Sta. 2l+13 with Standard Drawing 3-2W

4. Road Monumentation
Required roadway monumentation shall include right-of-way centerline in addition to all road PC, PT, PI
for roadway intersections points. A record of all plat monumentation shall be submitted on Standard
Drawing 3-37 sealed by a PLS
The approval and conditions of this letter will be applicable for a period of one year. If a permit is not issued
within the one-year time period, this waiver will be void, and a new request for modification, must be submitted.
