Project Overview
The single-family residence will be developed on 0.94 acres of residentially zoned land. The
location is at the terminus of 2nd Ave SW within the City of Federal Way Washington. The
project site is primarily covered with undergrowth deciduous and coniferous trees. An existing
paved driveway runs along the east and south boundary of the site. The site generally slopes
from south to north, with slopes ranging from 3 to 40 percent. The northwest corner of the site
contains steep slopes toward the northeast, at approximately 40 percent. Minimal grading will
be used to construct the single-family house with daylight basement.
In accordance with City of Federal Way standards, the project proposes to construct adequate
infrastructure to support this single-family residence. The proposed driveway, currently
classified as a joint-use driveway, will be minimally graded and overlayed with asphalt to King
County road standards.
The drainage system will be constructed in accordance with King Count Surface Water
requirements. Detention will be provided by a tank per the standards. Approximately 0.06
acres of driveway cannot be gravity fed to the detention tank, therefore bypasses the drainage
facility.
