CALL TO ORDER: Committee Chair Hoang Tran called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm.

Initiative Senior Grant and RFP Writer Arianna Garofalo.
The Collaborative Partner Initiative Senior Grant and RFP Writer Arianna Garofalo
presented the city-wide grant pilot program aimed to increase grant funding for the City.

B.2 WA Retail Association — Business Safety and Resiliency Programs Update: Presented by
the WA Retail Association Senior VP of Policy and Government Affairs Mark Johnson.
Washington Retail Association Senior VP of Policy and Government Affairs Mark Johnson
gave a presentation on programs and approaches aimed at reducing organized retail
crime and supporting Federal Way businesses.

C. WA State Criminal Justice Training Commission Teacher Advisor Coach Officer Interagency
Agreement: Presented by Police Commander Brian Klingele.
Police Commander Kyle Buchanan requested approval on renewal of an interagency
agreement between the City of Federal Way and the WA State Criminal Justice Training
Commission to assign a Federal Way police officer as an instructor at the Commission's Basic
Law Enforcement Academy.
Motion to forward the proposed request to the April 2, 2024, consent agenda for approval.
