SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
City Hall — Council Chambers
September 3, 2024 — 4:45 p.m.
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Council President Kochmar called the meeting to order at 4:46 p.m.
City officials in attendance: Council President Linda Kochmar, Councilmember Lydia
Assefa-Dawson, Councilmember Paul McDaniel, Councilmember Susan Honda,
Councilmember Hoang Tran, Councilmember Jack Walsh, and Councilmember Jack
Dovey.
City staff in attendance: City Attorney Ryan Call and City Clerk Stephanie Courtney,
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Senior Commissioner Tammy Dziak led the flag salute.
3. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The City Council interviewed applicants seeking appoints to the Senior Advisory
Commission, Ethics Board, Diversity Commission, Human Services Commission,
Planning Commission, Lodging Tax Advisory Commission, and Youth Commission.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 6:01 p.m. Council President Kochmar announced the Council would recess into
executive session. City Attorney Call noted the executive session is to discuss
collective bargaining pursuant to RCW 42.30.140(4)(b); anticipated duration is fifteen
(15) minutes.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Executive session concluded and the special meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
