MINUTES
I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Park called the meeting to order at 6:20 PM. Councilmembers Burbidge, Dovey (arrived at
6:23 PM), Faison, Kochmar, McColgan, Deputy Mayor Ferrell and Mayor Park present.
II. 2007/2008 PRELIMINARY BUDGET DISCUSSION
Council continued to review the proposed 2007/2008 Preliminary Budget and provided the
following general directions:
. Consensus is to continue to fully fund the street overlay program and the TIP at an amount
equal to level at I % of the utility tax each, using capital revenue sources.
. Consensus was reached to transfer 2% of the utility tax to the general fund to support and
maintain current services.
. Council directed staff to bring forth an ordinance which will repeal or defer the admissions
tax.
. Consensus is to go to the voters for utility tax to support increased service levels. and
Council will meet again in June to decide what proposed voter package shall entail:
whether it should be for Public Safety only or Public Safety and other high priority needs,
determine the utility tax level, when to go to the voters and how to conduct public outreach
prior to making final decision on a ballot measure. Council also wants unanimous decision
on any voter package presented.
III. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Park adjourned the meeting at 7:58 PM.
