AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY
AND
THE FEDERAL WAY SOCCER ASSOCIATION
FOR
SAGHALIE PARK SOCCER FIELD IMPROVEMENT
This Agreement is made and entered into this2.0f!:: day of ~, 20~, and is
entered into by and between the City of Federal Way, a Washington municipal corporation ("eity"),
and the Federal Way Soccer Association, a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation, (the "Association").
The eity and the Association shall collectively be referred to as the "Parties".
WHEREAS, the Parties have expressed their desire to participate in a project to improve the
Saghalie Park Soccer Field, (the "Project"),
WHEREAS, the eity eouncil has authorized the sum of Eight Hundred Forty One Thousand
Three Hundred Fifty Eight and 37/100 Dollars ($841,358.37) for the Project, and
WHEREAS, the Association has committed the sum of Thirty Five Thousand and Noll 00
Dollars ($35,000.00) for the Project, and
WHEREAS, the Parties have successfully applied and received grant funds from the
Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program, Outdoor Recreation Account, in the amount of Three
Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($300,000.00) for the Project, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree to the following terms and conditions:
I. CITY OF FEDERAL WAY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. eontribute Three Hundred Thousand and Noll 00 Dollars ($300,000.00) for the Project.
2. Administer the bidding process and any contracts necessary for the Project.
3. Saghalie Park will remain the property of the eity. The eity will continue to be
responsible for the scheduling and maintenance of the property, including the Soccer field. The City
will coordinate the scheduling ofthe fields for eity events/programs, and used by the Federal Way
Soccer Association.
II. FEDERAL WAY YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. eontribute Thirty Five Thousand and No/I 00 Dollars ($35,000.00) for the Project.
2. The Association will be scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours
of 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday and
Sunday between 8:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M.
3. All unused time will be returned to the eity for its scheduling.

III. FIELD CONSIDERATIONS
1. The field lining system will ensure that the pronounced (emphasized) lines are those
associated with a regulation-sized soccer field.
Each individual executing this Agreement on behalf of the Parties represents and warrants that
such individuals are duly authorized to execute and deliver this Agreement on behalf ofthe entity
he/she represents.
