Subject: Federal Way Park and Ride Lot #2
Dear Francis:
This letter is to confirm our phone conversation on January 6, 1995 regarding the City of
Federal Way's interest in the property that DOT is holding for a future park and ride near
S.W. 344th and 21st Avenue South. It is my understanding that DOT has designed the park
and ride facility, and in doing so it appears that a surplus of property will result.
The City is interested in utilizing the property to meet our needs to provide sports fields.
Please accept this letter as official notice that the city would like to have first right to
consider purchase of the property.
In addition, the City would also be interested in leasing the property for park use if, in fact,
development to the site for the park and ride lot is not expected for another three to five
years.
Thank you for considering the City's request and I will look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
i
