Holdown at Interior Shearwall
It is our understanding that the PHD4 holdown at the shearwall between the dining
and multi-purpose room was installed too close to the interior wall intersection and
cannot be attached to double holdown studs at the above subject building. We have
determined the PHD4 holdown may be rotated 180 degrees and attached to new
double holdown studs. Provide panel edge nailing to the new holdown studs, and align
double studs at the crawlspace Shearwall below, per detail 11/S3.2.

We have reviewed the truss shop drawings and have determined that truss layout and
shop drawings provided are acceptable with the following framing revisions at the
above subject building:
The interior 2x8 of the (2) 2x8 leisure room header and stairway header shall be
removed and replaced with (2) 1-3/4"x7-1/4" LVL's. Facenail each LVL w/ (2) 10d at 6"
oc.
At the multi-purpose room header, sister a 1-3/4"x9" LVL to the existing 3-1/2"x9" GLB
header (#214) w/ (3) 10d facenails at 6" oc.
