Dear Tom,
At the request of your site superintendent the following acceptable revision to the approved Permit Set
drawings may be made;
Item 1;Reference the Roof Framing Plan between Grid A+22 Ft&B;
The existing ceiling rafters may be removed. The 4 x 8 specified may be revised to a 4 x 12
installed in the rafter cavity provided LUS26 hangers are installed on the rafters and provision
for ventilation is made above the beam.
Item 2;Reference the Roof Framing Plan between Grid A+10 Ft&A+22 Ft;
The existing ceiling rafters may be removed. The 4 x 8 specified may be deleted provided the
wall to the south is constructed as a 2 x 4 bearing wall with 12 x 12 PC pier pads with 4 x 6 posts
at a spacing of 48 inches are installed in the crawl space below the bearing wall.
Item 3; Reference the Roof Framing Plan between Grid A+22 Ft&B;
The existing ceiling rafters may be removed. The 4 x 8 specified may be revised to a 4 x 12
installed in the rafter cavity provided LUS26 hangers are installed on the rafters and provision
for ventilation is made above the beam or the rafters may bear on top of the beam provided
Simpson H2.5's are installed on each rafter.
