Mayor's Direction
Town Square Park to be designed and developed on time and on budget with many elements
identified through the public process. Construction is tentatively scheduled for June of 2015
with an opening date of 2oi6.
These important planned elements may include:
• A Great Lawn with many trees that will provide shade and color
• Children's play area
• A spray park
• Restrooms
• Walking paths
• A formal place for the public to gather for important community evens such as the Holiday Tree
Lighting Ceremony and other community celebrations
• Space identified for a future Veteran's Memorial which will come with efforts of our local
Veteran's advocacy groups
The park will serve as the heartbeat of the vital and vibrant downtown core and will become
a place that people drive to, not through.
