Federal Way Memorial Field - Change Request to Process III Review
Dear Jim,
After consultation with you and City of Federal Way staff, we would like to request our project land use
submittal (22-I02723-UP) be revised from a Use Process IV review with variance request to a Use Process III
review.
The Memorial Field project is currently submitted as a Use Process IV (awaiting application completeness
approval) as a path of approval for the project including the new athletic field lighting. It is our understanding
that there is an active code revision that will recognize the special use lighting forthe athletic field, Therefore,
we would like to omit the athletic field lighting scope from the stadium project at this time and will submit the
light poles for approvals upon the code revision adoption, which we understand should occur at the end of this
year.
The project application and supporting documents should be modified as follows:

. Delete Light Pole Calculations - (22-102123-UP-Light Pole Calculations-05-09-2022.pdf)
. Change all references to athletic field lighting shown within the Plan Set and any other supporting material
to..FUTURE ATHLETIC FIELD LIGHTING, PROJECT SCOPE TO INCLUDE ELECTRICAL INFRASTRURE ONLY'.
Please let our team know if these modifications can be made by City of Federal Way staff as they are
accepting the application or if you would like us to make any document modifications for resubmittal. We
appreciate your guidance and attention to detail to assure a successful project for the Federal Way
community.
