RE: File#07-101371-00-UP; USE PROCESS I APPROVAL LETTER
US Bank, 1436 South 312th Street, Federal Way
Dear Mr. Kallsen:
The City has completed an administrative review of US Bank's proposed construction of a new 788
square-foot drive up canopy that is larger than the existing canopy. The proposal also involves repairs to
the existing building after the demolition of the existing canopy, which was demolished after it was
damaged by vehicle impact. This involves repairs to the existing facade and windows. The scope of the
proposal includes the construction of a free-standing,non-combustible steel canopy that is 13 feet, 6
inches in height.
Based on the City's review, the Process I application for the proposed drive up canopy.is approved. A
building permit has already been submitted and is currently under review by the City.
This decision shall not waive compliance with future City of Federal Way codes, policies, and standards
relating to this project site. The effective date of decision is April 5, 2007, or three days from the date of
this letter. Pursuant to FWCC Section 22-355(a),any person who received notice of the administrative
decision may appeal this decision to the Federal Way Hearing Examiner by April 19, 2007 (14 days from
the effective date of decision).
In that you are the only party of record, you may waive your right to appeal by submitting a letter to this
effect to the City of Federal Way, Department of Community Development Services. If you waive your
right to appeal, you may begin work once you have obtained the necessary building permit approvals.
If you have any questions, please call Associate Planner Laura Kim at 253-835-2641.
Sincerely,
Kathy McClung, Direct
