Dear Mr. Stefoglo:
The Public Works Department has reviewed the above permit application. The following items must be
addressed before the permit can be approved:
1. Storm drainage must meet the requirements outlined in the 2009 King County Surface Water
Design Manual, Appendix C. This means that onsite flow control must be provided for all storm
water runoff from roofs and driveways. Flow control options include dispersion, infiltration, rain
gardens, and rainwater harvesting, but do not include tightlining runoff to the public drainage ditch
as proposed. Please contact me if you would like a copy of Appendix C emailed to you to help in
your design of the storm water system.
2. Silt fence is appropriate as an erosion control measure, however the plan shows it on the uphill
side of the construction while the downhill side is shown partially exposed. Please reverse this to
assure that sediment does not leave the site. In addition, a quarry spall construction entrance is
required and must be shown on the plans.
3. A Declaration of Covenant regarding maintenance and inspection of the storm water system must
be signed and recorded. This document will be prepared and sent under separate cover.
4. The first 40'of the access easement must be paved. Pavement must be a minimum of sixteen feet
wide.
