Proposal to construct a detached,three-car garage at 30234 25th Place South
Dear Mr. Newby:
On October 28, 2003,you submitted to the City's Department of Community Development Services a proposal
to construct a three-car garage at the address referenced above. I am reviewing the land-use portion of your
proposal and,as part of that review, recently visited the site.
My inspection revealed that existing pavement on the site is configured differently than that shown on the
submitted site map.Therefore,I am asking that you resubmit a revised site plan for this project showing the
extent of existing pavement,the extent of proposed paving and the extent of any pavement to be removed.
Please include measurements along all dimensions.
While preparing the revised site plan, please bear in mind that City code requires at least the first 40 feet of a
residential driveway to be paved,starting from the back of the sidewalk or the public right-of-way,whichever is
greater'.City code further specifies that the portion of the driveway lying within the 20-foot front-yard property
setback can be no wider than 30 feet2. City code will allow you to leave the existing, paved parking apron and
driveway in place to the extent that the distance from the north end of the apron to the south edge of the
proposed driveway does not exceed 30 feet.
. It appears the City Building and Public Works departments have completed their reviews and approved your
proposal.Once I have received two copies of the revised site plan,I will complete the land-use review. In the

the front property line to a maximum width of 30 feet."
