Dear FW School District Admin Office:

You are being notified because the above referenced property contains outdoor storage container(s)that are

having previously been approved by the City of Federal Way or a prior jurisdiction.Unless previously

with the new regulations or be removed by November 15, 2010.
Prior to the compliance deadline, eligible outdoor storage container(s)must be reviewed and approved

container(s) on the property; and(3)a fee of$79.50, automation fee plus Process I application fee, which
is charged at the hourly rate of$73.50,with the first hour deposit required at the time of application.
Following review of the application, the City will issue a Process I approval for the storage container(s)if
it complies with City code,or we will notify you of any requirements that must be addressed for approval.

Hello Sidney,
Margaret Clark asked that I contact you regarding a couple of storage containers located at the Admin building on 18th
Ave South. I believe you had received a boiler plate letter sent out to several property owners following the adoption of
a new zoning ordinance regulating storage containers several months ago.
After going through our database, I'm unable to find any permits or approvals issued to the school district for the two
containers. Do you know of any approvals granted by King County prior to the city's incorporation? I ask, because if the
school district can show it obtained approval for the containers, the storage containers could remain in their location
with no other screening or permitting required. If we cannot verify any permits, the school district would be required to
submit a land use application and comply with current storage container regulations.
Compliance with the new ordinance for storage containers without prior approval is November 2010. Please let me
know if you have any questions or would like information regarding the land use application process, I can be reached
at the number below.
