NOTICE OF INTERPRETATION NOTICE OF INTERPRETATION Electrified Fence Setbacks File No. 22-102883-AD Citation of Code Provisions - Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) 19.125.130 & 19.125.160(5) Summary Statement of Interpretation Property setbacks generally applicable to fences over six feet high are also applicable to electrified fences over six feet high, unless the electrified fences separate agricultural uses and are intended to contain large domestic animals. Date of Interpretation - September 1, 2022 Availability of Official File - The official project file is available for public review at Federal Way City Hall, Department of Community Development (33325 8th Avenue South, Federal Way, WA 98003-9718). Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The official project file, and interpretation is available for public review: https://www.cityoffederalway.com/node/1962 Right to Appeal - Any person who is aggrieved by this interpretation may appeal the interpretation within 14 days (September 15, 2022). The appellant must file a letter of appeal indicating how the interpretation affects his or her property and present any relevant arguments or information on the correctness of the interpretation. The applicant shall include the appeal fee as established by the city. The appeal will not be accepted unless the required fee accompanies it. An appeal of this interpretation will be reviewed and decided upon using Process IV.
