PURPOSE OF LET I UR As stated, the purpose of this letter is to address the lullowing, 1- Soils Rearing in the JbUndatio❑'area at the Subject project. FINDINGS On April 13, 2004, at your request, the writer visited the Subject site and performed [lie needed investigation to address the soils condition and bearing capacity at the building location (car the subject project. As per our inspection, [lie following was observed- 1 - The ground was excavated and the most ol'the farms were placed in preparation for the concrete placement, At the time of the inspection, the ground was wet due to continuous rain 1br some long period at that day. Some minor standing water was seen in sotrte area. 2- It appears that most of the preparation was made except For some small areas where some soils from the excavation were inside the lbrrn area possibly due to movement fro» n the soils adjacent: to the Bums. TESTING Probing was performed to provide a soils bearing itil'orrnation. Probing was made utilizing a 3/8" bar. (') Scattered standing water may be allowed if under or about 1/1 6"inch and only in few areas, otherwise to be removed prior to concrete installation.
