City of Federal Way Regional Labor Study: Presented by Dr. Ali Modarres with University of Washington, Tacoma. Dr. Ali Modarres presented a workforce analysis within the City of Federal Way: providing population and job trends, job growth with National average, industry growth/decline, median hourly wage with job growth, earning per worker with gross regional product, top growing industries, education requirement, minimum experience requirement, top occupations, top industries and top specialized skills. Discussion only, no action taken. C. Ordinance: Establishing an Urban Forestry Fund: Presented by Planning Manager Keith N iven. Planning Manager Keith Niven requested the creation of a designated urban forestry fund to account for payments, paid by developers in lieu of replacing trees, to be segregated from other revenue, restricted for replacement trees elsewhere in the city.
