On June 11, 2018,the City of Federal Way's Department of Community Development received your
request for verification of any critical areas located on parcel#3 02 1 04903 5.
After review of the subject parcel and the City's critical areas map, staff has determined to the best of our
knowledge that there is no evidence of any critical areas affecting the above-referenced parcel. In the
event that critical areas are identified on the property, please contact the City to determine applicable
permitting requirements. We suggest that you contact the King County Health Department to assure that
you can provide for a septic system and a reserve area.

I am in the process of submitting a Sub-division pre-application report to King County for future
short plat application submittal to the City of Federal Way. My initial submittal to King County
was returned with the following comments from Jarone Baker, Health and Environmental
Investigator II; "PHSKC needs written confirmation from the City of Federal Way that they do
not object to this parcel being subdivided on septic systems. PHSKC needs written confirmation
from Federal Way there are no critical areas on parcel 302104-9035.
My request is to have the City of Federal Way provide written confirmation on the comments
sent by Jarone Baker.
