All Commissioners vote to approve the minutes from the previous meeting.
Raffle Basket Display Update
The Commissioners did not get a chance to finish the Raffle Basket Display. Commissioner Justin will contact
Commissioner Sienna again and try to get it done before February. The Commission plans on displaying the basket
at the Sons/Daughters Night Out Event at the FWCC in February.
Vice-Chair Bryan received a Hoodie from the Outlet Mall for the Raffle Basket.
Chair Ankit suggests contacting new companies for the next raffle basket.
Commissioner Justin will reach out to Century Theatre
Vice-Chair Bryan will reach out to Cold Stone and Starbucks
Commissioner Niko will reach out to MOD Pizza
Commissioner Alex will reach out to Menchie’s
Commissioner Karis and Chair Ankit will reach out to El Centro
Commissioner Justin suggests making an E-Poster for the display board at the Community Center. Vice-Chair
Bryan, Commissioners Alex and Niko will work on the E-Poster together. Chair Ankit, Commissioners Sienna and
Justin will continue working on the display for the FWCC lobby.
KCLS Library Volunteer Opportunity
Michele McLaughlin from the KCLS had contacted the YC City Staff about a Volunteer Opportunity at the Federal

Teen Night Update
Ledyard informs the Commission that a Teen Night at the FWCC would have to be paid for by the Youth
Commission and that they do not have the funds to make a “profit” for the scholarship fundraiser from that
event. Clemons informs the commission that they can host a Movie Night at Knutzen Theater and sell concessions.
Chair Ankit suggests hosting the event for Teens/High School Age students. Commissioner Justin asks if they can
host multiple Movie Nights for different ages. Clemons suggests hosting one night to start off with, and then
decide if it is worth it to host multiple depending on how the first one goes.
Chair Ankit suggests hosting the Movie night on a Friday/Saturday. Commissioner Justin suggests late May/early
June. Vice-Chair Bryan thinks that it will be hard to get people to buy tickets and attend the event. Clemons
suggests throwing in a door prize that would entice people to attend. Chair Ankit and Commissioner Justin point
out that the best way to promote the event would be on social media. The Commissioners try to decide which
movie to play at the Movie Night. The Commissioners decide on “The Dark Knight”. The Commissioners choose
the tentative date of May 12th with a start time of 6:00pm. Clemons will check on the Theatre’s availability and
give the commissioners an update at the next meeting.
Restaurant Takeover Fundraiser
The Commissioners decide to focus on the Movie Night Fundraiser instead of the Restaurant Takeover.
