4th Quarter Meeting
November 21, 2022 Minutes
4:00 to 5:00 pm
Committee and COWF Staff Attendance: Tom Dezutter (Chair), Margaret Reyhner, Jeremy
Benson, Mark Sabol, Dave Heimer, John Hutton, Shelley Springer and Dan Sternkopf.
Call Meeting to Order
Meeting was called to order by Tom Dezutter on November 21, 2022 at 4:05 pm.
Aquatic Vegetation Survey Update
• Discussed the lake vegetation and there is little vegetation on the lake. No action taken.
• Yellow flag iris – Treatment is done from the shoreline.
o Why are Aquatechnex doing this from the shore instead of driving around the
shoreline?
Geese Management Update
• No updates
• Rebecca is currently renewing the contract. Recommendation is to capture all the geese
including the geese that escaped.
Summer Water Quality Monitoring Update
• Overall the lake was very healthy with no issues.
• Would like to see the new monitoring information next year.
Status of LMD Assements, Collections, and Deliquents/Current Financials
• Emile was going to check with Legal to find out who is delinquent and see if we can get
these properties caught up.
• We have to renew the LMD next year. This document is over 20 years old and needs to
be updated.
• Fish and Game stock the lake (added 6K fish) and the City stocks the lake, too.
Comments / Questions
• Dock is still on the list to be upgraded and the COFW is hoping to receive funding from a
grant.
• The proposed dates for the 2023 meeting were approved: February 7, May 9, August 8,
and November 7. Dan will send out the meeting invites.
• Why is Aquatechnex spraying the shore instead of driving around the shoreline when
treating yellow flag iris?
