City Council study Session
October 12, 1994
3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
A study Session, of the Federal Way City Council, for the purpose
of staff presentations, on the 1995 proposed budget, was called
to order by Deputy Mayor Phil Watkins, on the 12th day of
October, at the hour of 3:05 p.m., in City Council Chambers,
Federal Way City Hall, 33530 1st Way S, Federal Way, Washington.
Mayor Mary Gates arrived after the meeting had been called to
order and took over chairing the meeting. Councilmembers
present: Ray Tomlinson, Hope Elder, Ron Gintz, Skip Priest and
Bob Stead. Staff present: Kenneth E. Nyberg, City Manager and
City Attorney Londi Lindell. Deputy city Clerk Chris Green was
present from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.; city Clerk Maureen Swaney
was present from 6:00 p.m. until adjournment.
Greg Moore, Community Development Director, presented the.
Community Development Department budget proposal.
Philip Keightley, Public Works Director, presented the Public
Works Department budget proposal. .
Larry Springer, COPP Director, presented the COPP Department
budget proposal.
The Council recessed for a dinner break between 6:00 p.m. and
6:30 p.m.
David Wilbrecht, Parks Maintenance Supervisor, presented the
Parks and Recreation Department budget proposal.
Londi Lindell, City Attorney, presented the Law Department
proposed budget.
The Council adjourned their study Session until 5:00 p.m.,
October 18, 1994, at which time Management Services, city Manager
and City Council budget proposals will be presented.
