The Steel Lake Viewpoint Project is a near term building project whereby Steel Lake Homes, Inc. will
build high-density multi-family living units on two adjoining tax parcels in the Steel Lake neighborhood
of Federal Way.
Parcel 1 (092 104 9199) is currently occupied by a single-family home and is owned by Steel Lake
Homes, Inc.
Parcel 2 (092 104 9012) is about 5.5 acres of vacant land and is owned by In Sil Kim, mother of the
owners of Steel Lake Homes, Inc.
The initial step in the project will to be to have the underlying Comprehensive Plan designation for both
lots amended and rezoned to support RM1800 zoning. Several neighboring properties already carry
these designations. Additionally, we will be including our neighbor, Mr. Eugene Loher, whose Trust
owns two neighboring parcels (092 104 9196 & 092 104 9136) in the application as he has like interests
in developing his parcels.
Once rezoned, Steel Lake Homes, Inc. will begin the process of mapping out the lots to determine the
optimal development plan, including layout, number of buildings, and attention to critical areas.
