Federal Way Food Trailer Corral
Scope of Project(s)-
1. A paved land lot that is easy for food trailers to park and sell food out of there food
trailers with the abilities to connect to water source, power source, and drain dirty gray
water directly into the sewer system.
2. A 1200-1500 sq ft commissary kitchen (NE corner of building north lot) that will be
OPTIONAL for the vendors of food trailers to rent and prep their food. By Washington
Food Safety Code, Vendors are allowed to rent or shared commissary space in most
commercial kitchens.
3. A 2500 sq ft Tavern Beer and Wine Taproom (existing building of north lot) – 21 and
over, that will dispense Self Serve Beers and Wines. With small 400 sq feet patio.
We will be paving both lots to create as many car parking as possible, and hopefully enough
space to accommodate 20 food trailers (normal size would food trailers would be (8x14) or 112
sq feet per trailer
Possible Questions that needs to be address.
a) Since we are using both two lots for the parking of our food trailers, as well as normal car
parking. We like to active the share parking agreement clause so that our parking is by code
90% of the require parking spaces. This will help for a more open design and concept.
b) We have an existing fire hydrant in the NE corner of building, base on our current design,
there is no fire lane going there. Do you guys typically access that from the neighboring lot, are
we required to have an additional hydrant within sight on our own parking lot.
c) We like to offer a common area bathroom for everyone, patrons of the food park and of the
tavern. Common access. Must leave the Tavern in order to enter common bathroom. It will be
sharing same wall as the Tavern.
d) Our commissary kitchen will have one bathroom for employees of commissary kitchen as
well as for the food vendors.
e) How many EV station required for this project?
f) How do I calculate the restrooms fixtures, chap 29 building code? How big does this
bathroom need to be? How many stalls, etc..
