Dear Leila:
Landau Associates, Inc. (LAI) is pleased to provide this proposed scope of services and cost estimate
for peer review services to the City of Federal Way (City) for the above -referenced project. This
proposal is in response to your request, dated November 21, 2019, and is based on a brief review of
the information provided with your request in the Consultant Authorization form (attached) and LAI's
experience on similar projects. LAI will provide the services requested on the Consultant Authorization
form. Assumptions for the proposed scope of services are summarized below.
Assumptions
• The City will coordinate necessary access permission to the subject property, and the
applicant will provide necessary access permissions to offsite properties, as necessary.
• Onsite soil sampling test pits, if necessary, will be excavated by hand for comparison with
conditions noted in the documents provided (attached).
■ Written responses to the documents provided will be prepared in technical memorandum
format.
• A draft version of the LAI's third -party review technical memorandum will be provided for City
review. A final version will be provided after addressing/incorporating City comments, as
appropriate.
• A meeting with the applicant's biologist, if requested, will occur at the time of LAI's initial site
review; costs for this meeting are included with this cost estimate.
• LAI's scope of services does not include delineation of waterways or wetlands.
Deliverables
• Electronic (Adobe PDF) copies of LAI's draft and final Third -Party Review technical
memorandum.
