In accordance with your letter dated July 29, 2005, please accept this notice that Nextel
Communications continues to operate a wireless communications facility consisting of
antennas located on an existing self support wireless communications tower and base
radio equipment within a prefabricated equipment shelter located at .1741 S 3561h Street,
Federal Way, WA 98003.
There are no current plans to either cease Nextel operations at the subject site of initiate
any significant change in the scope and size of its equipment located on and within the
subject facilities during the next five (5) year period.

To Whom It May Concern:
The City of Federal Way's Department of Community Development Services issued land use approval for
the above -referenced application on August 22, 2000. Pursuant to Federal Way City Code (FWCC)
Section 22-972, within six months of receiving land use approval the applicant is responsible for
submitting a project implementation report that provides cumulative field measurements of radio
frequency (EMF) power densities of all antennas installed at the subject site.
At this time, the City has not received the required EMF report for the above -referenced project. As such,
the applicant is in violation of the provisions of land use approval. Civil enforcement of the provisions of
the FWCC and the terms and conditions of any permit or approval shall be governed by FWCC, Chapter 1,
Article III, "Civil Enforcement of Code."
The City must receive the required EMF report within 60 days of issuance of this letter in order to avoid
code enforcement action. The report must quantify the EMF emissions, compare the results with
established federal standards, and provide a statement that the EMF emissions are within established
federal standards. Said report shall be subject to review and approval by the City for consistency with the
project proposal and the adopted federal standards.
