Construction related lane closures during the daytime could also cause delays to the traveling public by backing traffic on the highways and city arterials, and impacting bus routes and business accesses, performing work at night will mitigate the danger to workers and the traveling public, and will also minimize traffic delays. Therefore, night time lane closures are necessary to perform the work safely and mitigate impacts to the travelling public.
