Dear Mr. Tatevoyan:
The Community and Economic Development Department has received your Process I Master Land Use
(MLU) application to construct a small car washing structure on a lot improved with an existing building,
which is to be used for auto detailing. The Process I MLU application is hereby approved. The change of
use from an appliance retail store to an auto detailing business is also approved.
CONDITION
The city does not have any record of a business registration for the auto detailing business (or other
business at this location). Prior to opening for business, obtain a business registration for the new
business. If this is an expansion of the business to the north, modify your existing business registration to
reflect expansion onto the subject property.
BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE REQUIRED
The city's Building Division is currently reviewing the associated building permit (file #13-101211-CO).
No work may begin until the building permit is issued. Please contact the permit center at 253-835-2607,
or permitcenter@cityoffederalwUxo , if you have any questions regarding the building permit.
APPEALS
The effective date of this decision is April 29, 2013. Pursuant to Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC)
19.55.050, any person who commented on the application or requests a copy of this administrative
decision may appeal the decision to the Federal Way Hearing Examiner by May 12, 2013. Any appeal
must be in the form of a letter delivered to the Department of Community and Economic Development
with the established fee.
However, as you are the only party of record, your appeal period is waived. You may begin work on this
project on or after April 29, 2013, provided your building permit has been issued.
