10-104985CITY OF Fademl .......................... ....................................... Mr. Jeremy Haug, P.E. 171autlur mnunl-' E FILE CITY HALL 33325 8th Avenue South Mailing Address: PO Box 9718 Way Federal Way, WA 98063-9718 (253) 835-7000 www.cityoffederalway.com Thank you for your November 30, 2010, inquiry regarding the process and outstanding issues for aproposed riew entry gate at the above -referenced senior mobile home park located off bfS6A j14h Street in Federal Way. Comments from staff are provided below: Manning Department, Deb Barker, Senior Planner, 253-835-2642 1 The addition of an entry gate is a change to the approved site plan. This change can be reviewed and approved under Use Process I — Director's Decision. Process I requires an hourly review fee of $74 per hour with an $80 deposit at time of submittaf. An annotated copy of the Process I handout and master land use application form is enclosed. 2. Building permits are required for any gates or fences over six feet in height, and electrical permits are required for all electrical work. L01W Traffic Division, Sarady Long, Senior Transportation Planning Engineer, 253-835-2743 I The access and queuing analysis/report should be stamped by a professional engineer licensed in the stal of Washington when it is submitted with the Process I application. V Visitor and residential lane should be clearly delineated to reduce confusion. Paving marking and/or oth alternatives should be used to help direct incoming traffic. 3. There is an existing crosswalk sign at the southwest corner of the intersect -ion. Verify that this will not b blocked by waiting vehicles. Sincerely, Deb Barker Senior Planner Enclosures as noted c: Kevin Peterson, Public Works Engineering Plans Reviewer Sarady Long, Senior Transportation Planning Engineer Chris Ingham, Deputy Fire Marshal Doc, I-D. 56514 Deb Barker From: Ingham, Chris tChris,lngham@southkingfire.org] Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2010 10:00 AM To: Deb Barker Subject: Belmore Park Gate Fire has no additional comments. Before you submit for a building permit, please e-mail me a scaled site plan, showing the proposed location of the gate, South 324th Street, and the internal roadway. I will route this information to our Development Review Committee, and get comments from the Fire Department, the Traffic department, and the Building department on the gate. Please include details about the gate such as hours of operation, queuing length provided and what the gate will look like. Are you also working on the tennis court/parking revision for Belmor? I can be reached at 253-835-2642 if you have any questions about this e-mail.
