The modification request is approved on the condition the King County Library District is also amenable to the change and the trees remain in the perimeter buffer. The department cannot require the library district to modify the landscaping plan. I have included a copy of the approved landscape plan with a note detailing the approximate location of the trees. If you or the library district has questions regarding this letter, please contact me at 253-835- 2638 or matt.herreraacityoffederalway.com. This is a very small issue but it is growing bigger. Kindly investigate and remove trees in front of my apartment#13. I hope your action and cooperation will not require intervention of any commission. My name is Abdul Malik, resident of 1040 320th St S#13 Federal Way. This is a private condominium property and situated on the west side of the 320th St Library which is under construction. Four months before the library management had removed trees and bushes along the 1040 condominium property line. Now the library is near completion and landscaping has started. New trees have been placed along the 1040 condominium property line. I am sorry to say this landscaping crew is unprofessional and inexperienced concerning the spacing of the trees. Let me make another observation for landscaping. 1) There are three trees together at a distance of 5 feet to 7 feet that are all in front of unit# 13. 2) South from # 13 at units#14 and #15 they are only 25 feet distance. North from# 13 at units #12 and#11 they are 17 feet distance. When I saw and observed the situation, I talked to my neighbors. On 4/23/13 I spoke with the Home Owner Association President, Suzun. I was very disappointed that she told me to go to Library management. On 4/24/13, I met with Laurie White, Library operation supervisor at her office on 1st Ave South Federal Way. She said she would talk to her boss and referred me to discuss this with you. On 4/26/13, I received a telephone call from Kari,Vice president of the Home Owner Association. She was disrespectful and yelled at me. She told me that I could move out from this property in a threatening way. On 4/29/13, I met with Suzun (HOA President) and explained the interaction with the Vice president. Up to this time, no one has solved the problem. Please investigate and solve the problem related to the removal of the trees planted in front of my condominium, unit#13. Landscaping did an unfair job by putting three trees close together in front of my unit#13. I also need sunshine as everyone should get. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this issue and its resolution. Thanks Abdul.Malik 206-313-0534 I k ts)c>v-A -GO
