The Process I proposal is hereby approved based on the following statements of fact: Criteria I For facilities outside of public rights -of -way, the modification does not increase the height of the tower by more than 10%, or by the height of one additional antenna array with separation from the nearest existing antenna not to exceed twenty feet, whichever is greater; For those facilities in the rights -of -way and for all base stations, it does not increase the height of the tower or area of base station by more than 10% or 10 feet, whichever is greater. Staff Response ' The site is not located in the right-of-way. There are no proposed increases to height or area of base station. Criteria 2 For towers outside of public rights -of -way, the modification does not protrude from the edge of the tower more than 20 feet, or more than the width of the tower structure at the level of the appurtenance, whichever is greater; For those towers in the rights -of -way and for all base stations, the modification does not protrude from the edge of the structure more than 6 feet. Criteria For all existing facilities, the modification does not include excavation or equipment installation outside the current site of the tower or base station. Staff Response — There is no excavation or equipment installation proposed outside of the current site of the tower. Criteria 5 If the facility requires screening methods, the proposed modification does not defeat the existing concealment elements of the tower or base station. Staff Response — Current screening methods are not defeated as a result of this proposal. Criteria 6 The modification may not violate any of the conditions of approval associated with prior approvals. Staff Response — The proposal does not violate any known conditions associated with prior approvals of the tower or site. Closing Due to the site proposal, which is located on Puget Sound Energy (PSE) property, no Building Permit is required. This decision of approval shall not waive compliance with fixture City of Federal Way codes, policies, and standards relating to this site and does not constitute any approval on PSE's behalf. The effective date of this decision is February 11, 2016, three days from the date of this letter, per FWRC 19.05.360 This Process I approval is valid for one year from the effective date of this decision. If no further action is taken within one year, this decision will expire. A one-year extension of time may be granted only if a written request is submitted to the city's Department of Community Development at least 30 days prior to the expiration of the decision. CrownCastle.com RECEIVED Francisca, CITY OF FEDERAL WAY CDS T-Mobile's Site Modification request for Marine View Substation / (SE4037) involves the replacement of three (3) Andrew model TMBXX-6516-R2M antenna with three (3) new Commscope model SBNHH- 1 D65C antenna on the existing mount. Three (3) existing Andrew model TMBXX-6516-R2M and six (6) existing TMA's will be remain. Three new tower mounted Nokia RRU modules will be added to the existing five (5) RRU modules.
