Dear Mr. Doyle:
The Community and Economic Development Department has received your request to perform heavy
equipment operations prior to 7:00 AM on Monday, April 81h and Wednesday, April 10`'. The scope of
work includes the sidewalk replacement on the Buffalo Wild Wings street frontage of 20'h Avenue.South
beginning at'5:00 AM on each of the above -referenced dates.
The work hour exception request is hereby approved as it meets criteria set forth in Federal Way Revised
Code (FWRC) 19.105.040-. The work will not result in substantial adverse impacts to surrounding
properties as the area is predominately retail and entertainment oriented with hours of operation beginning
in the mid -morning and the exception is necessary to avoid disruption to pedestrian and vehicle access
during typical peak hour times.
Written notice requirements to surrounding property owners and occupants is hereby waived as the scope
of work will not interfere with retail activities and no residential properties are within close proximity.
Please be advised that this work hour exception may be revoked if the construction activity creates
unanticipated and verifiable adverse impacts.
If you have questions regarding this approval, please contact Associate Planner Matthew Herrera at 253-
835-2638, or matt.herrera@cityoffederalway.com.

Isaac,
CITY OF FEDERAL WAY

i am requesting to demo the existing sidewalk just west of the new Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday, April 8r", starting at
S:OOam and ending by 10:00. 1 am requesting this time to have a minimum disruption of mall traffic and noise affecting
local businesses. We would close the right turn lane during this demolition process and stay away from the traffic loops
affecting 3201". We will close that portion of the sidewalk to pedestrian access until after pour back.
We are planning to re -pour the sidewalk Wednesday morning, weather permitting, with similar closure times.
Thanks,
Bob Doyle

You can email your request to me. Specify the hours you would like to work and ,the dates. Indicate the reason for the
request. The code typically calls for notice of work outside regular work hours to be provided to neighbors, but given
your location that will not be necessary in your case. Let me know if you have any questions.
Best
Isaac

Isaac,
I have been in touch with Kevin Pete i in regards to the sidewalk replacement ne Buffalo Wild Wings. He has asked
me to contact you in reference to the right turn lane closure exiting the mall. We are planning to accomplish the work
within the lane before the mall opens to minimize the impact to the traffic. Is there a formal request I need to make?
Thanks
