Notice is hereby given that the City of Federal Way Hearing Examiner will hold an agency decision
appeal hearing, on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., in Federal Way City Hall Council
Chambers (33325 8th Avenue South, Federal Way).

Description of Matter Being Appealed:
1. The Managed Forest Buffer (MFB) on the northern boundary of the CP-1 property between I-5 and
Weyerhaeuser Way South has a depth of zero feet; and
2. If the Applicant dedicates land including the MFB to the City of Federal Way (City) for the future
extension of S. 324th Street, then the MFB remains on the land acquired by the City and does not
relocate to the property retained by the Applicant.
Appeal Summary:
In their November 27, 2018 Appeal Letter, the Appellant includes the followings Objections to and Errors
in the Interpretation Decision:
• Inappropriate Subject Matter for Interpretation; Failure to Amend CZA;
• Failure to Incorporate Decision into Land Use Application;
• Failure to Comply with SEPA;
• North Side of the CP-1 Property Should Have Minimum Buffer of 50 Feet;
• MFB Adjacent to Extension of S. 324t".
