Krazan field representative arrived on site as requested to check the proof roll observation. Representative met with the
contractor to discuss the scope of work.
Proof Rolling:
The project was foundation pad for the placement of mobile home (Lot 164) composed of 6-7" compacted lift of base course
gravel from Lloyd's sand and gravel.
The representative observed that the contractor used a CAT CS34 vibratory roller to compact the surface of the base coarse
material with vibration, which tightened the surface into firm and dense mass of lot. A fully loaded ford mini dump truck
(F750 super duty) was used to proof roll 30' x 30' area of the pad as shown in the picture below. After multiple passes of the
dump truck, no significant pumping or rutting nor deflection of the surface more than % inch was observed.
