RI p,j 719' Cm 0110130 i 13 u Level of Service (LOS) Standards • Level -of -service (LOS) standards are measures of the amount and quality of park and recreation sites and facilities that must be provided to meet a community's basic needs and expectations. • The benefit of developing LOS standards is to set goals and provide the community an opportunity to measure progress toward meeting community objectives. • LOS standards provide a benchmark for evaluating deficiencies in the existing system, and can provide the justification for the need to develop additional park facilities and improvements.
