Dear Mr. I-,itowitz:
The Co1itmtmity Development Department has received your request to utilize the northern portion of the
future Retreat Meadows subdivision as a temporary laydown yard for construction vehicles, supplies, and
equipment while utility and infrastructure work is completed in and around the SW 356`" Street right-of-
way. Approximately 13 trees will need to be removed, which were anticipated to be removed as part of
the preliminary plat decision. Additionally, existing rockery and retained soils will be relocated. The
proposed work is needed to accommodate the future subdivision ahead of a city planned overlay on SW
356"' Street.
The request is hereby approved per the following conditions:
I. Erosion and sediment control measures shall be implemented before, during, and after construction.
This includes, at a minimum: silt fence installed around the areas to be cleared. Final stabilization of
all cleared/disturbed areas requires those areas to be hydro -seeded, or seeded and mulched with a
minimum of three inches of straw spread over the disturbed areas.
All construction materials, vehicles, etc. shall be removed from the temporary laydown yard within
one week of completion.
This decision is for the temporary use of the area as a laydown yard with associated tree removal and
retaining wall/soil relocation only. Additional permits from the Public Works Department and Lakehaven
Utility District are separate from this decision. If you have questions regarding this letter you may reach

Continuation of Description of Request:
Approximately 20 000 sf 0.459 acres of area will be disturbed during this construction hale. The existing rockery along the
northwest corner of the Retreat Meadows Plat will be removed during the driveway removal to prevent future damage to road at
time of Plat construction. The retained soil behind this rock wall will be relocated to the areas of future fill of 2nd Ave SW. This
will allow for the south entrance of 2nd Ave SW to smoothly grade into the existing driveway entrance during the interim phas
of full plat construction. It is antici aced that approximatelygpproximately 500 cy of soil will be relocated as part of the roc ga removal. As
art of this r uired adin 13 trees will need to be removed. The estimated time to com lete the work included in this re uest
