Policy Question
Should council authorize staff to apply for a
transportation grant for complete street
improvements around Federal Way High School?
Background Information
• City has "Complete Street" ordinance promoting
non -motorized access along all roadways.
• City and Federal Way School District have been
collaborating on a set of "Complete Street"
improvements around FWHS including:
— Signal, signage, lighting, and striping improvements.
— Median barriers.
• WA State Transportation Improvement Board
(TIB) issued a call for rapid implementation
projects.
