Over the past year several recreational vehicles have parked for
extended periods of time on city streets, including in business
and commercial zones
➢ Frequently, these recreational vehicles degrade the appearance
of the city to both residents and visitors, and can contribute to
parking and safety issues

Currently, Federal Way Revised Code (""FWRC") only
regulates parking and storage of RVs on private property, and
does not regulate parking of recreational vehicles on city
streets
The proposed amendment would prohibit parking of
recreational vehicles on all city streets in non-residential
