CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor Burbidge called the special session of the Federal Way City COLillcil to order at the
hour of 5:35 p.m.
Councilmembers present: Mayor Jeanne Burbidge, Deputy Mayor Dean McColgan,
COLmcilmembers Eric Faison, Mary Gates, Linda Kochmar and Mike Parle Mayor
Burbidge excused Councilmember Michael Hellickson.
Staff present: City Manager David Moseley, City Attorney Pat Richardson and City Clerk
Chris Green.
II. 2003-2004 PROPOSED BIENNIAL BUDGET
. October 24th Study Session Follow.Up
. Council Deliberation
City Manager Moseley and Management Services Director T wen Wang provided responses
to Council questions directed to staff during the earlier October 24th study session. Council
also expressed their satisfaction with the baseline budget as presented, and said there is no
need to discuss line by line or section by section. Councilmembers askcd the City Manager
to research the legal issues affiliated with appointing a commission to review City Council-
member salaries.
Council took a brief recess from 7:20.7:45 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Federal Way City Council at this time,
Mayor Burbidge adjourned the s eciaIlstudy session at 9: 1 0 p.m.
