CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Mayor McColgan called the special/study session of the Federal Way City Council to order at the
hour of 6:52 p.m.
Councilmembers present: Mayor Dean McColgan, Deputy Mayor Linda Kochmar, Councilmembers
Jeanne Burbidge, Jack Dovey, Eric Faison, Jim Ferrell and Mike Park.
Staff present: City Manager David Moseley, City Attorney Pat Richardson and City Clerk Chris
Green.

STAFF BRIEFING TO CITY COUNCIL
Christian Faith Center/Final Environmental Impact Statement

Mayor McColgml read the following statement into the record: This is a special study session to
receive information about the Environmental Impact Statement on the Christian Faith Center
proposed project. '('here is no public comment at a special study session, and, therefore, will not be
allowed this evening. No deliberations or final decisions can be made at a study session. It is likely
the public hearing will be held on May 24, which will allow sufficient opportunity for public
testimony. Public notice of the hearing will be issued two weeks prior to the hearing. A decision
concerning the proposed Christiml Faith Center project will be scheduled for a regular or special
Council meeting after the portion of the public hearing lor public testimony has been closed.
Senior Planner Lori Michaelson briefed Council on the project and introduced David Sharrm-d of
Parametrix, the consultants who prepared the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the city.
Mr. Sharrard responded to a variety of questions by Councilmembers.
