AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO BUDGETS
AND FINANCE TO CARRY FORWARD FUNDS REVISING
THE 2007-2008 BIENNIAL BUDGET (Amending Ordinance
Nos. 06-537, 07-549, and 07-569).
WHEREAS, the City Council enacted the 2007-2008 Biennial Budget on December
5,2006, to become effective on January 1, 2007; and
WHEREAS, on March 20,2007, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 07-549 to
carry forward funds that had not been expended in 2006; and
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2007, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 07-569
to revise to the 2007-2008 Biennial Budget as necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to revise the 2007-2008 Biennial
Budget as a result of funds to be carried forward from 2007; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment. Exhibits B( 1) entitled "2008 Revised Budget" in Ordinance
No. 07-569 is hereby amended to Exhibits B(2) - "2008 Revised Budget" to include the 2007 carry
forward funds into the revised budget for 2008.
Section 2. Severability. The provisions ofthis ordinance are declared separate and
severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section, or portion of this
ordinance or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall not affect

the validity of the remainder of the ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or
circumstances.
Section 3. Ratification. Any act consistent with the authority and prior to the
effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified and affirmed.
Section 4. Corrections. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are
authorized to make necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but no limited to, the correction
of scrivener/clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any
references thereto.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from the time of its final passage, as provided by law.
