MINUTES
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Deputy Mayor Faison called the special meeting to order at the hour of 5:07 pm.
Councilmembers present: Mayor Jack Dovey, Deputy Mayor Eric Faison, Councilmembers
Jeanne Burbidge, Dini Duclos, Jim Ferrell, Linda Kochmar and Mike Park.
Staff present: City Manager Neal Beets, City Attorney Pat Richardson, and Deputy City
Clerk Stephanie Courtney.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Deputy Mayor Faison adjourned to Executive Session at 5:07 pm for approximately thirty
minutes.
a. Potential Litigation/Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1 )(i)
Council returned to Chambers at 5 :34 pm.
3. STUDY SESSION
a. Level of Service/ Transportation Improvement Plan Briefing
Senior Traffic Engineer Rick Perez briefed the Council on the level of service for various
intersections in the city.
Councilmembers discussed option including limiting double left hand turns and the extension
of carpool lanes.
Council concurred to ask staff to look into potential policy changes and potential effects of
issues including limiting multiple left hand turn lanes.
ORIGINAL
Assistant City Manager Cary Roe noted they will add this to the Planning Commission work
plan and bring it back to Council.
4. ADJOURN
There being nothing further, Mayor Dovey adjourned the special meeting at 6:44 pm.
