Jainga City of Federal Way Parks and Recreation Department 33530 1st Street South Federal Way, Washington 98003 -6221 Dear Mr. Jainga: Thanks for sending me a copy of your updated plan and adoption ordinance. The Projects Division of the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC has reviewed the Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan and finds it meets the planning requirements as specified in Manual #2, Local Agency Guide to Planning Requirements. The IAC is, therefore, pleased to inform you that Federal Way is eligible to participate in all IAC grant categories except Urban Wildlife Habitat (UWH) until November 2000. It should be noted that to retain grant -in -aid eligibility in future years, it is essential that the IAC be notified of any major amendments to the plan as they occur. Your plan is used in the evaluation of projects submitted for grants. An incorrect or incomplete plan could cause a reduced evaluation score during the project evaluation process. If IAC can be of further assistance relative to your park and recreation planning program, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, LORINDA A. ANDERSON Resource Planner cc: Phil Trask, IAC
