APRIL MINUTES
1. Call to Order
• Meeting Called to order at 5:18pm on Wednesday April 16th 2008
• Those in Attendance: Christina Jeong, Traci Johnson, Riley Germanis, Caroline
Hellwig, Samuel Tang, Justin Yi and Heather Hallstrom
o Late to Meeting: Jordan Rohrs and Marlon Harrington
2. Approval of March Minutes
• March meeting minutes Approved by Christina Jeong and Seconded by Jordan Rohrs
3. Public Comment
a. (Comment limit – 3 minutes)

5. Commission Business
a. Continue to Update Work Plan Discussion Schmidt
Youth Recognition Night Canceled, Proposed by David Schmidt and Seconded by
Riley Germanis. The decision that the wind down of the school year causes schedule
conflict and thus we have canceled Tune Night as well also proposed by David
Schmidt and seconded by Riley Germanis.
b. TUNE Night Event Discussion Schmidt
Event Canceled due to lack of participation from bands and time constraints on the
members of the commission.
c. Car Wash Discussion Schmidt
Date scheduled for Saturday June 14th 2008. Location and time to be determined by
May meeting. If participating, anticipate to work the car wash from 9am-3pm, but time
is not set exactly.
d. Red, White, and Blues Festival July 4th Discussion Schmidt
We will be responsible for sponsoring a dunk tank at Celebration Park on the 4th of
July. Members of the Commission will be in the Tank or Family and Friends of the
commission can volunteer themselves. 3-4 people will be needed for the tank.
e. Summer schedule/Revenue Ideas Discussion Schmidt
The Commission is scheduled to meet during the summer months, June, July and

August, however, dates may be changed based on availability, times, dates and
location will be announced at the preceding meeting. Teen Late Night was proposed
for Friday nights at the Community Center.

Reminders for May Meeting:
Keep in contact with David and other commissioners via phone or e-mail.
Come up with 3 ideas of New events to do for the 2008-2009 Commission Year.
