I would like to serve on the Planning Commission as a way to contribute to the value of our City's to contribute to our community. Although I did not graduate, I majored.in environment design. I would use my knowledge of knowledge and skill I have developed working with Cities . I believe a Master Plan for Federal Way would be appropriate especially now with emphasis on the downtown core and the development of the PACC. What are your prior experiences in this area? I have no prior experience working on a Planning Commission. I have served as Board member for the Teamsters Union. During my tenure I have promoted a collaborative process seeking everyone's input and buy in, valuing the diversity of opinions. I am looking forward to serving our city. How do you see your role as a Board Member/Commissioner? I envision my role as a planning commission member to be a part of the citizen review and recommendations on planning-related matters to the city council, to be part of a team and to help with the process which improves the city I live in. Describe anything in your past or recent activities perceived as an embarrassment: I can't imagine anything I have done which would cause the City or myself embarrassment. I have not been arrested, convicted or accused of any crime during my life in Washington. I was arrested for failure to pay a ticket when I was about 22. I believe I have learned from that mistake and hope my life since the incident demonstrates my ability to learn from mistakes.
