Dear Mr. Foulkes:
This letter grants approval to your initial request dated March 21, 2005, and revision submitted on May
17, 2005, for proposed changes to the Federal Way Little League Field House. Land use approval for the
Field House was granted on May 10, 2003.
As stated in your letter and in drawings, you propose to (1) relocate the location of the handicapped
parking stalls as depicted in the drawing submitted on May 17, 2005; and to (2) return to the originally
approved hardi -board siding as the horizontal metal siding proposed to be donated to the field is no longer
available due to price increases. The hardi -board will be painted lulled beige per the original plans.
There are no changes to access points, easements, utilities, or impacts to sensitive areas, significant trees,
or the environment with the material change requests. The revised location of the accessible stalls avoids
potential vehicle /pedestrian conflicts.
Pursuant to Federal Way City Code (FWCC) Section 22 -411, "Subsequent Modification," the
modification request does not constitute a change in use and is determined to have no substantial changes
to the impacts on the neighborhood or the City as a result of the change, and is hereby approved.
The approved modifications to the building material and parking stall locations must be depicted on
construction plans associated with building permit application under File #05- 101221 -CO.

Dear Greg:
Thank you for the opportunity to meet out on site today. Based on our meeting, the
FWNLL would like to request your approval of several variations from our plans,
The two items we reviewed are as follows:
1. For the handicapped parking, we have located the parking in a different location
than originally shown. We feel this location will better serve the handicapped in
that they will not have to deal with as much cross traffic. Please see attached copy
of the original plan, and a copy of the plan we are proposing to use. Please note
we have installed the asphalt and will install the stripping, and signs as required.
2. For the siding, we back in May, 2004 Mrs. Kathy Mc Clung approved a variation
for the siding to use a donation from Custom Built Metals for horizontal metal
siding as a substitute for the hardi siding shown on the plans. Unfortunately,
because of the huge increase in steel prices, Custom Built was unable to donate
the material, and as such we have installed the hardi siding as it originally shows
on the plans. This will be painted the Parker Paint "lulled beige" per the original
plans as well.
