Dear Ms. Galvez:
This letter responds to your June 20, 2007 inquiry, to re -open the drive - through access at the Allied Cash
Advance located at 28839 Military Road South, as described in your June 20, 2007 email, to Director
Kathy McClung of the City of Federal Way Community Development Services.
The existing Allied Cash Advance located on 28839 Military Road South is located in the Neighborhood
Business (BN) zone. Pursuant to Federal Way City Code (FWCC) 22- 1634(2), this zone allows for drive -
through facilities, such as banks, cleaners, fast food, drug stores and service stations etc. that comply with
FWCC 22- 1634(2)(a -e) and FWCC 22- 1638(d), which are enclosed with this letter.
A Land Use Process I or II will be required prior to the issuance of the building permit. The determination
of whether this application will be required to undergo Land Use Process I or II will be determined with
the criteria listed in FWCC 22 -32.2 (enclosed). This will be confirmed upon receipt of more detailed
information including site plans, project proposal and scope of work.
The fees associated with each Process are as follows: Land Use Process I is charted at $68 per hour of
review time (average review time is 1 -3 hours), and a Land Use Process II review is approximately
$1882.00.
