soil required additional compaction. The work was completed and the site was

The home being constructed, at 29832 9th Avenue Southwest under permit #07-
1006501 was elevated on June 6, 2008. The elevations were taken to certify the
height measurement requirement of the City of Federal Way Building
Department.
A Temporary Benchmark was set on the Finished Floor of the basement at the
elevation of 100.00 feet. The highest ground elevation is 108.04 feet; the lowest
ground elevation is 98.84 feet, which makes a ABE is 4.6 feet and an elevation of
103.44 feet.
The highest point on the ridge is 136.68 feet. The eave elevation is 129.48 feet,
the average elevation is 133.08 feet. When the ABE is subtracted from mid-
point, the height of the roof is 29.64 feet.

As requested by the City of Federal Way, we have completed a plan review that included the site
plan and the foundation plan for the above-mentioned project. A photocopy of the plans that we
reviewed are attached to this letter for reference.
In our letter dated March 13, 2007, Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) recommended that the
infiltration trench be extended to at least 4 feet below the existing ground surface to assure that the
trenches intercept the advance outwash soils at depth, and are below the fill and remnant topsoil
soils encountered at the site during geotechnical exploration. This should be added to the plans.
The plans currently indicate that the trench will be 2 feet deep.
If the preceding correction is made, it is our opinion that the plans are in general accordance with
the recommendations noted in our geotechnical report. The plans were reviewed with respect to
AESI's report, "Subsurface Exploration, Geologic Hazard, and Geotechnical Engineering Report -
Pashchinskiy Property," dated March 17, 2006.
