PROPOSAL FOR SCOREBOARD INSTALLATION
CELEBRATION PARK FIELD #1
Height of top of scoreboard from ground=20 feet
Height of bottom of scoreboard from ground= 12 feet
Total area of scoreboard including ad panel = 128s.f. (8'H x 16'W)
Base dimensions of the scoreboard:
Scoreboard will be mounted on two posts set in concrete. The posts will be set 9 feet on
center and 3 %2 feet in from edge of scoreboard. The scoreboard will be set back 6 feet
from the 8 foot high chain link fence located in right-center field.
*After our initial meeting on 3/16/00, I followed the recommendation of Betty Cruz and
Kathy McClung and requested Jenny Schroder meet with the City Attorney's office. This
follow up concerned the interpretation of the sign code and the type of sign designation
the scoreboard will receive. Jenny met with Londi and she was told that the scoreboard
does conform to the sign code and should be approved as such. The major factor in this
determination centered around the fact that the scoreboard advertising panels advertised a
product that was served on site. The legal department felt strongly that our position on the
interpretation of the scoreboard designation was solid. If you require any further
information on this issue, please let me know.
